With a strong history of British traditions this warm and welcoming Gastro Pub has gone through stunning refurbishment. The Princess of Wales pub stretches over three floors, including an elegant first floor dining room, lower-ground bar and event space- perfect for booking a private event or tables for larger groups. Their Banksy beer garden (named after a mysterious lion stencil that appeared in 2011) is a Primrose Hill privilege where you can enjoy a Rhubarb Royale cocktail or a dry cured bacon breakfast bap. The Princess of Wales Pub serves great British pub food in a laid-back atmosphere, overseen by chef du jour Carl Clarke (of Hix and the Café Anglais).
The majority of ingredients come from British suppliers including Bath Pig chorizo, Wright Brothers prawns, Trealy Farm ham and London Cure salmon. Generous sharing boards and stone baked flat breads are perfect for two or more, Steaks/Chops/Big Plates will conquer larger appetites and sweet tooths can gorge on the strawberry and lavender pavlova or double chocolate and peanut butter brownie with salted caramel ice cream.
A wide selection of predominantly British spirits are served including Chase, Hendricks and Sipsmiths served with the classic ice and a slice or in a selection of tasty cocktails. A thoughtfully chosen wine list includes Chapel Down wines from Kent alongside Champagne, Prosecco, cask ales, organic ciders and good ol' London Pride.
Not just offering a new menu, the pub will be showcasing a fun and engaging series of regular events ranging from Tuesday quiz nights to the POW supper club on the first Thursday of each month, calling out to all London foodies. The Sunday Jazz sessions will continue to accompany the classic Sunday Roast, the perfect accompaniment to the papers and a freshly made Bloody Mary.
