All Action Hero, Gareth Bale, Gooner, Lee, Karl and Beef were the heroes that they always are! You gotta love the Heroes, if you don't, something has died inside of you! Darko were mightily impressive on both a sonic and a technical level, the kind of wall of sound that makes an evening! But the highpoint of the night, for me, was Karl M King's hardcore outfit, STFU. I ...loved every minute of that set! He told me that they'd only had a day to rehearse(I don't think Beef and Phil, drums and bass, were actual members of STFU) and maybe, that was the reason it was so good. It just ticked a lot of boxes for me. Good to see that the spirit of Rock and Roll is still alive in Alton! Shame about the sound and the turnout :-( . What can we do to get people away from x-factor, dancing fools and celebs in the fucking jungle, and back into real life in this little town? Big up to the Lounge Bar for putting on gigs like this, it is much appreciated!
