I've been to Chicago's a few times now and I have to say that for me, it isn't anything special. It's not a bad place to go for a drink but it's not my first place I would go to. It's not a bad place to go for a drink but it's not my first place I would go to. Recently, I went for a friend's birthday party in which we booked a booth. Considering that we went during an "80's event", it was more expensive than usual. I found that the woman on the phone when booking to table was lovely but booking online was confusing and a nightmare. I found that it wasn't very flexible with booking a booth and considering we paid £115 for a booth we got a bottle of vodka (which I know costs about £20) two mixers (which we were told that the taps were flat when we were there) and "decoration" which was basically some "happy birthday" confetti sprinkled on the table, it wasn't worth it. We didn't know how many people were coming but you have to book per person rather than booking the booth itself and you cannot ask people to pay for their own ticket once they're there. This became difficult and because people didn't come (not Chicago's fault) we lost a lot of money. As well, the club wasn't even that busy so people were sitting in booths anyway, not that this was Chicago's fault but was disappointing considering how much we paid. It wasn't the VIP treatment that I was expecting. The event we went to was a "forgotten nights" which should have been 70s, 80s music etc as promised but this wasn't the case. There was chart music and the music that was 70s, 80s was remixed into a "club vibe" which isn't what was promised. If you are going to do a specific genre then stick to that genre. I was disappointed with this. The atmosphere was good if you like the club-like music. Even if you don't, it's still a good atmosphere. The security are friendly and kind and whenever there has been trouble, they immediately sort it out. I didn't really venture into the drinks but when I have done, they have been good. Your basic drinks. Disappointing that they only do Monster instead of Red Bull. Monster is just too sweet for me when mixing with drink. Overall, I think this is a good place to come for a drink and a dance but not somewhere that I would book for a birthday again. I wish they could be more flexible with their bookings and maybe put in a little more care and thought for people that are booking for events.
