We are a family run business and offer a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
When John Street Car Park was built in the 90’s, David Deakes took the decision to apply for a change in license to create the Victoria Lounge Bar. As previously “The Reardon” had been an elite private club, only opened to members. A new entrance was created on the John Street side of the building, welcoming people to “The Victoria Lounge Bar”. The name was chosen due to the close proximity of The Victoria Hall, although it is important to know that we are independent and not associated at all.
We have been open to the public ever since and with us being a free house we are able to serve the beers that our customers have chosen, regularly updating our rotating cask range to suit all tastes.
