Good venue for old and new bands

Fantastic stuff there, however they could reduce the card limit at the bar.

You have half the bar operating at one time and two to three members of staff serving...... SLOW. No one was in a rush to serve and the queue at my side was 5 rows back. I saw a group of 4 people stood at the side bar in front of the beer pumps which had no sign saying anything about "no service". There were no cups or anything on the pumps to say otherwise. I watched this un-fold for around 10 minutes and I could see the lad waiting to be served getting quite agitated to the point he was yelling at the staff to get their attention. Bearing in mind this lad had been stood there just as long as everyone else. Then to be told by a bar staff member to f-off go stand in the queue. After a bit of an argument (and 3 My Chemical Romance Songs later) the bouncers were called to kick him out. Then all I saw was a scuffle between this lad, a male bouncer and a female bouncer. The male bouncer was escorting the lad out of the venue and the female bouncer was pulling at his arm like there was no tomorrow. It was hugely over exaggerated by the fact that this male bouncer had things under control, the chap leaving was walking out and the female bouncer with eastern European accent was making a meal out of it. Some lad jumped in (I think from the group they were with) and had to literally stop the female bouncer (who was clearly abusing her authority and position). I'm not sure what happened after that but I only stayed 60 minutes later after dying of thirst from an under staffed venue. £8 a ticket, 500 sold.......... what a rip off. I've been to Fibbers in the past when bands have played and I wasn't that impressed with the PA and sound system. To say it's one of Yorks most recognized music venues it's a joke. The two lads working behind the bar around 11.30pm and the European bouncer need sacking for literally being **** on the night. I can't behave this was in my job so why should they? The organizers of the event need sacking. 500 people and 2 beer pumps running (out of 4) isn't good enough. Never again coming back here, even if it's a band I want to see.
