This Wetherspoon pub was originally the Regal cinema. Construction began in 1939, but was halted by the outbreak of war, and was completed when building restrictions were lifted in 1956. Very popular, but one real downside is the ladies toilets are disgusting. Apparently the ladies bins are only emptied once a week. How popular and busy it is , should be cleaned and emptied once a day. Love the pub and staff are good, just the toilets put you off
