The Manger is looking forward to opening as soon as we are allowed, and welcoming back all of our lovely customers both old and new.
While we have been shut we have been working hard decorating inside and outside the pub, and actively making changes to allow us to offer as safe an environment as is possible. We are now updating the function room .......this will incorporate a new ceiling, lighting, insulation and we are dividing it into separate areas rather than just a square box. We will retain the ability to hold functions.
Being quite a large venue we are able to offer a dedicated entrance and exit, and being able to use both areas to dine enabling us to give everyone much more space than what is recommended. This applies to our very large patio and garden area also. Luckily the kitchen lends itself to our lovely chefs working separately and even the wash up station is now self contained.
All staff will have their temperature taken, and answer and sign a short self assessment sheet before entering. Table service only even for drinks and we will hopefully introduce a fully functioning ordering system where you can browse our food and drinks menu, order and pay from your own mobile without leaving your table either inside or out should you wish. Hand sanitizer will be offered on arrival, exit and be available on every table.
This all sounds very draconian, but here at The Manger we believe in keeping everyone safe, customers and staff alike, this will be a small price to pay. Obviously anything the Government requests us to do over and above these measures we will fully comply. As soon as we can we will relax certain measures but fully believe much of the above will be here to stay certainly for a while.
