A very well run venue but the people who sit in the garden are not interested in the music

Excellent staff, music, art and decor. The food is top- theres a delicious array of vegan options and they make a proper great bloody mary. 5*

We didn’t book a table but on arrival the restaurant was empty apart from 1 table so we were confident we would be seated. However when we got to the door we were told we had to pay £7 to gain entry even though we had come to sit and eat in the separate restaurant area of the pub. I understand Saturday is a busy night but I’ve never had to pay an entry fee to eat in a restaurant! Very bizarre and disappointing experience.
