Situated in the heart of Fitzrovia, The Lucky Pig is an exciting and welcome addition to the neighbourhood, providing in-the-know Londoners with classic cocktails, old fashioned glamour and good times as soon as they walk down the stairs and enter this intimate and decadent drinking den.
Launched by Keith Tucker and Jeremy Hall, The Lucky Pig is set to become a hub for those looking to escape the hum drum of daily life and enjoy beautifully prepared drinks in a vibrant and welcoming environment.
The design of the bar has drawn on elements from the Art Nouveau period and old New York to create a space packed full of fascinating design features, wooden floors, beautiful mismatched furniture and plush upholstery. Juxtaposing exposed brickwork with one-off art pieces, Chinese parasols, antique mirrors and chandeliers, the venue is a veritable treasure trove of collectible objects. Along the back wall is the bar fashioned from an old shop front, serving classic cocktails. Lining the side of the venue is a collection of cubby holes seating up to 8 people. Featuring tables suspended from the ceiling and lockable vintage trunks for keeping coats, handbags and valuables, the booths are ideal for private parties.
The whole feel of the venue is one of old school style and night-time mischief. In the corner of the venue is an upright piano, ideal for those impromptu blues renditions, while the tables and chairs can easily be pushed out the way for some spontaneous dancing once the evening gets underway. Even the antique ornaments are available for purchase if a guest really falls in love with a particular piece.
The cocktail menu has been designed by Bar Manager, Olly Hornby Smith (Soho House Group) and features classic, simple, but perfectly formed concoctions all served in beautiful glassware. Eschewing bottle service, the Champagne will be served in coupes not flutes, and there will not be a sparkler in sight. Waitresses and waiters serve the tables and can provide expert advice on the best cocktail to suit a particular mood. Examples from the menu include:
Southside Royal - Bombay Sapphire Gin, mint & cucumber, topped with Champagne - £8.50
Grey Goose Le Fizz - Grey Goose Vodka, lemon, elderflower & soda - £8
Very Berry Julep - Finlandia Vodka, Hennessey V.S, chambord, berries & homemade jam - £8
Pontarlier Neuveax - Bombay Sapphire Gin, Absinthe, curaçao & grapefruit juice - £8
Also available to accompany the drinks is a selection of bar snacks, created by The Lucky Pig team.
With 150 capacity standing and relaxed seating for 50 - 60 standing, The Lucky Pig is the ideal option for an event. Featuring distinct private areas for 8 – 150, a stage, multimedia options and a fantastic PA and sound system, the venue can host live bands, product launches, meetings, and intimate gatherings. The staff, all experienced in events are able to create a tailor-made events package and advise guests on all aspects of the event, from the canapé and drinks menus to the music choice.
