The new management have transformed this to a leading watering hole and venue for Brighton. The kitchen has trained chefs offering a good range of fresh home cooked food from shnacks to meals. The pub has a very laid back, chilled atmosphere now with ecletic music playing, some open mic nights and dj's. The upstairs is now run by Badlands Guitars and promises to be a key live venue for Brighton based bands, excellent acoustics and top in house system with stocked bar and food here too. Forget the pub as you knew it, go and try the new Hare & Hounds today!

These people treat musicians very badly and don't deserve to have decent bands playing in their pub. We only found out we were canceled when we saw that we weren't on the listings. After many phone calls to and fro to clarify the situation we finally were officially canceled at 1.5 days notice and told to "p*** off when we asked for cancellation fees; pretty galling when a few band members had turned away other work to play here. They pay peanuts anyway so do yourself a favour and give these assholes a wide berth
