While the setting is alright, the photos online are certainly over complimentary and many areas could do with a refurb. There’s a huge number of security staff throughout which in one way is reassuring but equally makes you wonder whether trouble isn’t far away. What was more disappointing was the sequence of drama through the evening. The toilets “ran out of water” at 8pm, so it was a case of bottled water at the sink to wash your hands with. The bar ran out of beer at 9pm, leaving wine and spirits as the only options from there on. Come 10:30pm the bar staff insisted only one drink per person could be ordered at the bar. The prices for drinks are totally ridiculous given the other shortfalls and the staff behind the bar are extremely unpersonable. Overall I was left with the opinion that it’s a pretentious place but sadly lacking the style or service to justify; there are so many better places to spend an evening nearby.
