Best food around Retford in my book.

Staff were friendly and helpful, although the food was ok, it all tasted very salty. It would have been nice to taste the ingedients rather than this overpowering salt. The bitter was terrible, possibly the worst pint I have had. The landlord seems to keep it gassy and cold. Perhaps no one has ever told him that you don't keep bitter and lager the same! There appeared to be a lack of drinkers in the bar area - something unusual for an only pub in a village. Perhaps this is some clue as to why.

Delicious home cooked food, good beer, friendly staff. Very reasonable. Great stop off if your on the A1 and not in a rush.
