I tried to think of a best description whilst waiting for my dinner (selected from a seafood/lobster/oyster esque menu.) The word that kept coming back was 'feminine'. And if you're uncertain, that's an accolade. I ordered fish and chips because, unusually, I was in the mood for it; and an oyster. The oyster was brilliant and the fish was fresh and (again less common these days) not overcooked, and by fresh I mean it had that trace of seaside flavour.. genuinely fresh. The beer selection was great. The only oddity was that the fish and chips came with some toast on the plate. I didn't really know what to do with it. Presumably to balance the look. I might have suggested they swap that with another random option that's more in keeping with the pub, maybe cress...

It's really hard to find decent vegan pub options that aren't just junk food, and the W&B really came through here.
