Allowing us to finish them in peace and quiet out of the way was a reasonable ask but we were harassed non-stop by a small army of staff to finish and leave. Some of the staff seemed to get a real kick out of being unrelenting together which I guess was lovely for employee morale. In addition, the overpriced drinks after a £15 entry fee, plus empty glasses and sticky surfaces all over the place really topped the experience off.

Weirdest vibe and bar experience I’ve ever had. Frisked and checked by security more seriously than I’ve ever been in my life. Bar was extremely dead. Don’t take card, must pay cash. They were drinking tins of beer, perhaps smuggled in? Or they were sold them, but that seems equally weird. Bouncers were drinking too and mingling with the young people in the bar (see the security guard in the back of my photo). Some of the patrons were very old and the mix of people was so strange. Unfriendly staff too. Avoid like the plague. We left within 10 minutes.

Such a cool venue. Hadn't been in ages thought we'd pop by and check out the Hoxton Pony. Always a top night out in Shoreditch here. Recommended.
