From the beginning, German speaking staff, in Dirndl and Lederhosen, served only imported, German beer and traditional German food in an environment that Germans would recognise as the real thing. It was no surprise that the demand outgrew the original Essex Street site and, when the site at Blomfield Street became available in 2014, Bierschenke took off! The demand has continued to grow but Bierschenke’s determination to maintain an authentic offering has meant that we would not expand the brand until we found the right premises.
Our new Bierkeller, near Tower Hill, has been completely refurbished and with furniture built and imported from Bavaria, it will maintain the Bierschenke ethos to perfection. Craft German beer, great German food and an atmosphere that will transport you from London to Munich.
