Many people ask me what made you open a cat café!?
After visiting a cat café I couldn't stop thinking how wonderful it would be to have one in Hampshire and it felt like it was something I was supposed to do.
My rescue cat Bree along with my beloved cat Louis who I lost in 2016 gave me the inspiration for Paws for Thought Cat Café. I wanted to take something from both my experience's and try to make a difference by either making people more aware of
adoption and possibly convert people into cat lovers if they're not already or help someone going through a loss of their beloved pet .
Losing Louis in 2016 was very difficult and it made me realise that many people go through the same thing. It also made me realise that there’s not many places you can go where people want to listen to your stories and help you through it. That’s why I wanted to make this a part of what we do at Paws For Thought Cat Café. I want people to feel like they have somewhere to go to talk about their pets and be able to share their memories with others.
We also want to be able to make a difference and raise awareness for our local rescue centres to help reduce the number of rescue cats left in our centres every year and deter the commercial breeding of kittens. I want to bring this change and happiness to as many cats as possible and I hope to do that together with the support of our lovely customers and fellow cat lovers.
