Miss Q's, is a 420 capacity pool bar, diner and live music club/saloon located in Earl's Court, London. Miss Q's adds a unique contemporary twist to retro 'Beat' Americana and is defined by its Rock 'n' Roll interior and heady mix of live music, pool, classic American diner style food and hard liquor.
The venue is the latest venture from Eddie Bloom, son of Jamie Bloom; former owner of the legendary Rainbow Theatre that played host to Jimi Hendrix, Frank Zappa and The Clash during its heyday in the 70s.
The concept, interior and branding of Miss Q's is created by Paul Daly Design Studio, the firm behind high profile projects including The Elbow Rooms, Zigfrid von Underbelly, Villiers Terrace, The Hoxton Apprentice and Shoreditch's Roadtrip.
The main entrance sits unassumingly on the Earls Court Road, lending the venue something of a secretive, speakeasy vibe. Once inside, a staircase descends to a vast open plan basement area that spans 7,000 square feet. The decor juxtaposes a moody prohibition style playground, with a sexy Rock ‘n’ Roll contemporary edge.
Miss Q's is split loosely into different areas: 3 full sized American pool tables dominate one quarter, while American diner booths run around the perimeter and naturally lead in to a music saloon complete with a low stage, lighting rig and mixing desk.
A separate illuminated LED dance floor glows with a rainbow of colour, adjacent to the DJ booth which leads on to an intimate gallery space that houses an iconic photographic collection of rock 'n' roll's finest and a retro pinball machine. 7 plasma screen TVs depicts an eclectic mix of live music DVDs and classic cult films and ‘old skool’ imagery.
The custom made pool tables play an integral part in the overall character of the venue. Beneath these tables lie 3 striking Persian rugs - the inspiration for the tongue in cheek tagline, 'Sex, Rugs and Rock 'n' Roll. In this spirit, guests are able to shoot a frame or two whilst checking out some of the best established and upcoming acts in a stripped-down, semi-acoustic environment.
Music undoubtedly plays a large part of the unique Miss Q’s experience. Resident DJs include DJ Ilmi and DJ RC Centurion playing good old Rock ’n’ Roll, spanning a diverse playlist of current day hits, commercial and chart music, dance classics and more...
The food menu at Miss Q’s focuses on classic American favourites. Similarly, the drinks menu features down and dirty diehards such as Jack on the Rack alongside wine, draft and bottled beers, ciders and tequilas. A selection of classic ‘tongue in cheek’ Rock ‘n’ Roll themed cocktails are also available.
Miss Q’s is the Mecca of anything and anyone cool who happens to past through Earls Courts main drag and is more comparable to Kings Road than Earls Court Road though without the portentous snares. So if you fancy a night with a difference, forget the rest and come and party like a Rockstar at Miss Q’s.
Turn Up, Tune In, Rock Out and enjoy some 'Sex, Rugs and Rock 'n' Roll’ only at Miss Q’s, the coolest, sexiest venue in Earls Court.
