La Sala, Chigwell

I had one of the best Sunday roasts ever yesterday! However the service wasn’t great so a slight let down unfortunately - staff could have been a little more attentive

Booked a table for 15 at La Sala Chigwell on Saturday 18th March 9.30 pm, I booked nearly 2 months in advance a table for food and drinks for originally 13 people for mine and my partners Birthday Celebrations. When we arrived two of our guests were immediately told they could not have the ribs and what the kitchen had said was the meat was bad and they had to choose something else which they d...one. The waitress came back round to take drinks ordered although we have pre ordered wine and were still waiting for a glass of fizz upon arrival. We did not get no drinks for 1 whole hour at this point it was 10.35pm and starters did not arrive it 10:50pm.It got to 11.30 and no food had been brought out and the waitress kept apologising and told me she did not no what was going on, but she would find out. It was now 11.50pm and the Majority of the party was annoyed and no longer wanted to eat at it was too late. But I had people 4 people including a pregnant diner who still wanted food. At which point the waitress got there order for the 4 and it came out stone cold and to our surprise they served ribs to them. When we were told by the waitress when we arrive that the meat for ribs were bad as per the kitchen one of my party guest complained directly to the waitress about the information of the ribs and she apologised. We were still charged for extra drinks that were not on the menu and the rest of the deposit was used for drinks for the remainder of the night but as you can imagine between 15 people as I added two to the booking in the week did not go very far.
