I was not drunk I had just got off the train and walked straight to kooky. The Door Supervisor said not tonight I asked what his reason was for declining us access he didn't have a reason initially he said again not tonight. I told him I used to be a Door Supervisor myself and I don't cause any problems when out he then said your description has been passed to us by the police. This was a blatant lie as I had not even seen any police since entering Doncaster. I walked away and went else where. I know as like I said I worked the doors myself that if someone's description has been given by police then it would have been circulated around all the bars and clubs which was clearly not the case. I find that most Door Supervisors are friendly and do a fantastic job unfortunately this particular one presented bad people skills and abused his role and used it as a Power Trip. It was embarrassing I have never been turned away before. I travel to come to this club but now I will be in two minds as to try and come again as I feel this Door staff will deliberately target me now but I had to write this review because when I worked on Doors we was all about making sure the public had a good night and defusing situations as and when they occurred not to make lies up so you can pick and choose on personal preference who enters. If someone is drunk or disordily then 100% decline access but don't make lies up in order to do so. This will only cause problems and end up in the club receiving a bad review which if it wasn't for this one man i would have given a fantastic review. People skills is KEY to being a Door Supervisor.
