Grand Union Kennington is one of the prettiest Grand Union sites; with lovely arched windows, solid polished wood floor, fantastic floral wallpaper & vintage furniture from turn of the century. I tried the Grand Union today. I found service on the ground floor bar very slow, inattentive and disorganised despite having quite a few members of staff on in the bar. Food was warm, but could have been hotter. The overall atmosphere was quite relaxing and comfortable away from the bar area. read more
Amazing staff, food was exceptional and the service wqs quite attentive even at Happy Hour! I am hard to impress but I enjoyed myself very mucb.
Now called the Tankard (draft house) nice outside terrace on first front. Good selection of beers, not too busy.. pub food ok.. good venue..
