HOLA COLOMBIA! @ Azucar Bar Leeds
About this Event
Hola Colombia is back!
After the sold-out session last August in Leeds, the night was just too good to be a one-off. A whole evening of amazing Colombian salsa past and present plus some added flavours of cumbia, vallenato, merengue, bachata and reggaeton. No wonder people came from across the north (Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle) and even as far as London!
Hola Colombia Part 2 will take place at Azucar Bar once again in Brewery Place, Leeds, on Saturday 23rd November.
Doors will be 10.30pm and the party will roll into the early hours of the morning......if folks keep dancing and drinking, the DJs will keep playing the music!
Door price is £4 before midnight, £5 after (no advance tickets) plus Azucar has great drinks promos (rum & coke £2.50, 4 Corona beers for £10, tequila shots £1.50).
DJs on the night are once again Fabio Bahia (Calle Ocho) and William Parcerito (Rumba Picante), but they're joined this time on the decks by founder and promoter of Hola Colombia and former co-promoter of the Viva Colombia annual parties at The Wardrobe 2011-2013, DJ Lubi (Calle Ocho/Fania Records).
Again, the soundtrack is mainly great Colombian salsa by artists such as Fruko y sus Tesos, Joe Arroyo, Latin Brothers, Los Titanes, Grupo Niche, Orquesta Guayacan, Grupo Gale, Los Nemos Del Pacifico, Los Del Caney, Los Niches, Sonora Caruselles, La-33 and many more great Colombian bands. Plus a selection of Latino salsa classics (Oscar, EGC, Celia, Frankie Ruiz, Gilberto), Cali Fania hits (Hector, Willie Colon, Ruben Blades, Celia, Tito Puente, Harlow), some cumbia, vallenato and a touch of merengue, bachata and reggaeton!
The last one was packed to capacity.....a great mix of Colombians/Latinos, salseros and general party people having a good time.....get down early to grab a booth for the night.
