This is normally my go-to place on Park Street but I now refuse. A couple of nights ago, a couple of friends and I headed over and noticed there was a small group lining up. I asked the bouncer if it was one-in one-out just so we could get an idea if we would be waiting a little while. I don't know... what triggered him - he rudely 'guided' me to the line by asking if I am 'unable to see the line'. I asked again but this time justifying my question; instead of giving me a simple yes/no answer, he told us to leave and not come back.. Turns out he must have known the group lining up because they all thought it was funny to rudely refuse someone entry for absolutely no reason other than to inflate his almost pitiful ego. One thing I will take from him though is to not go back. This kind of event does not seem to be a one-off, and it is appalling that the bar has not got on top of this. It really is in the favour of the bar too, because you have people denying entry for the interests of their own and not the bar's. It's a shame because the place inside is great, just not the guys 'looking after' it. And for the record we were not drunk, this was the first place we were heading to.

My friend was in the bathroom, and I didn't want to wait outside alone, so I said I'd wait for her then we'd be straight off. He proceeded to get angry and called me a "stupid bitch", and told me to fuck off several times. I asked... the bouncer if I could see his license and he refused, snatching my friends phone out of my hand roughly and for no reason. When I went to report this to someone, the manager was incredibly dismissive, rude, and didn't seem to care that I'd just been verbally abused by the door staff. I was in shock that this had happened as we had not caused any trouble, and had just been sat there minding our own business all night. I understand door staff have a job to do but swearing at a girl and calling her sexist things like "stupid bitch" for not wanting to wait outside alone is out of order.
