Whether you're grooving to the ol' skool, soul and funk remix scratched together by live DJs, or indulging in a Cord special cocktail, you'll find yourself lost in the chilled out atmosphere and soon your life worries will be but a distant blur. I had the Dirty Boulevard (strong!!) and a friend had the Bad Apple (it really does taste like apple crumble!) cocktail and if given an earlier start (it was a Friday), I'd love to make my way down the cocktail list! For me, it was a good way to end a stressful work week and a nice opener for the weekend.

One of the older Northern Quarter bars but the recent refurbishment from the group that owns Simple and Wood has given it a new lease of life. Very friendly bar staff who are more than willing to mix up a custom cocktail for you.

I am not entirely sure if this is a good thing but by the end of the night the pub was practically drank dry. All the tap lagers gone, Guinness gone, cider was even gone on my arrival ...it was 9pm. Great music though.
