Like pretty much every student bar, the toilets are horrific and the floors are sticky, but the indie club nights attract a good crowd and you're guaranteed to dance until 3am. Expect student prices too - you won't pay any more than £4 for a drink.

For an authentic Cuban Timba night head down to the Buffalo Bar on a Monday evening. The atmosphere is friendly and unpretentious; the music supplied by DJ Jilm great. You can start the evening with dance classes. Drinks are reasonable too.
