Blackhouse - The Grill on the Square

The food and service is excellent. We ate here in October and has some issues and to be fair to Blackhouse, they did invite us back. So we ate today and the food and service was exceptional. Thank you for turning a not so good experience in to a fantastic one, we will be coming back!

We went last week, and due to a booking error, we received a free bottle of wine with our meal. We were all more than happy with that and our dinners were delicious also. Its a great place if you enjoy beef but there is lots of variety on the menu. The live music was also a bonus.

Located on East Parade this restaurant creates a really brilliant ambience with a live pianist/vocalist playing a really good range of jazz , blues and modern music. The service was slow from the kitchen, maybe down to the number of parties in for Sunday lunch but the food was good quality and tasty. I’d definitely return and give this another go.
