Dating back to 1745, The Lower Turks Head is an established part of Manchester history, claimed as one of the oldest pubs in the area.
Although deceiving from the exterior, a step inside proves how huge the pub actually is. Meanwhile, it's adjoining sister, Scuttler's Wine Bar, is a new direction for the venue. Converted from an old bookshop, the name derives from nineteenth century Manchester gangs - The Scuttlers. For anybody who doesn't fancy The Lower Turk's Head's selection of cask ales, then a trip next door may be better suited. The bar offers a brilliant range of wine that can easily compete with any of the well-known top dogs.
