90% of UK Festival-Goers Feel Confident About Live Event Attendance

With festivals given a date to work with following the Prime Minister’s announcements for the roadmap to easing lockdown in the UK – the booking frenzy has begun.

Public attitudes have been of excitement and enthusiasm towards the potential return to normalcy on 21 June.

In a survey conducted by Festicket, 90% of UK festival-goers were found to be confident about attending a live event this year.

The survey utilised data from 140,000 customers and found that more than half of respondents said they would be happy to book tickets for both international and domestic events.

Importantly, it found that 79 per cent would feel comfortable attending a live event between June and August. This result rose to 90 per cent for attendance in the final third of 2021.

The survey also showed that over 82% of respondents were planning to attend 2+ festivals or live events this year.

However, important to respondents were being vaccinated, alongside clear communication and reassurance about refunds from events in case of cancellation.

When at the event, festival-goers also expect extra cleaning and hygiene measures in place. 70 percent even mentioned how they would be more encouraged to attend an event if it were to implement a Covid-secure cashless system.
