Finally! The day has come when we can swarm to ticket pages and frantically organise camping equipment in group chats - for festivals are coming back!
Since Boris Johnson’s announcement for the roadmap to normality, many festivals have revealed their line-ups and plans for going ahead this summer.
Still, we realise how stressful the booking frenzy can be – especially when you’re spoilt for choice!
So, we’ve rounded up our top five festivals in Europe that have been given the green light to go ahead:
Reading & Leeds
The beloved festivals are awaiting their return home to Richfield Avenue and Bramham Park between the 27-29 August 2021.
This year, according to the festival’s bosses, there are plans to host around 200,000 music fans across the venues in Reading and Leeds.
The festivals, having emerged as a home for rock music when they began in the 70s now also welcomes a range of genres, including but not limited to house, pop, and hip-hop.
Headlining the festivals this year, across two main stages are: Stormzy, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Liam Gallagher, Disclosure, Post Malone, and Queens Of The Stone Age. Also performing are Lewis Capaldi, Mabel, Madison Beer, Doja Cat, DaBaby, Charli XCX, and 100 Gecs – among many others!
Unfortunately, Reading Festival and Leeds’ Weekend and Saturday tickets are SOLD OUT. However, there are still limited Friday and Sunday tickets left for Leeds!

Field Day
In its second year at a new home in The Drumsheds in London, Field Day promises to expand its already vast selection of electronic music and is one of the few festivals which continues into the early hours!
Taking place on 10 July, the festival sees the electric duo Bicep headlining and supported by DJs such as Artwork, the Blessed Madonna, Floating Points, George FitzGerald, Ross From Friends and Logic1000!
Tickets which were purchased for Field Day 2020, which was postponed, are valid.

Creamfields
A spectacular, award-winning electronic music festival; Creamfields is always unmissable.
Taking place in Daresbury, Cheshire on August bank holiday weekend (26 August – 29 August), it’s the perfect place to be as you simmer in the sun.
The huge festival sells out to audiences of 70,000 and champions 300+ acts across 30 stages. Playing this year are numerous world-renown DJs such as Adam Beyer, Carl Cox, deadmau5, Peggy Gou, Martin Garrix.
Unfortunately, Creamfields is sold out this year – but keep an eye out for following years and for any announcements they make for this year's festival:

Roskilde Festival
As the largest arts and music festival in Northern Europe, with around 130,000+ festivalgoers in the past, Roskilde Festival in Denmark embraces music from rock, pop, electronic, and hip-hop genres - all for the purpose of supporting humanitarian and cultural work.
This year’s festival, taking place for 8 days, between 26 June – 3 July, has stars such as Kendrick Lamar, The Strokes, Tyler, The Creator, HAIM, Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, Deftones, Doja Cat, FKA Twigs, and many more, performing!

EXIT FESTIVAL
A festival to keep on your radar if you’re a fan of an all-round party is most definitely EXIT Festival.
Hosted in Novi Sad in Serbia, on 8-11 July, the line-up of David Guetta, DJ Snake, Eric Prydz, Tyga, Metronomy, and Four Tet is shaping the festival up to becoming a jack-of-all-trades space for music.
