UK festivals going ahead this summer
Festival season is back on, and we’ve got a lot of catching up to do. The race is on to get tickets before they sell out – especially since many people rolled theirs over from the year before. It’s all people are talking about, so you’ll want to get in there quick. According to The Guardian, Ticketmaster saw a 600% increase in sales following Boris Johnson’s roadmap announcement.
But with so many festivals to choose from, it can be hard to know where to start. That’s why we’ve put together a list of what to expect from each of them:
Parklife
When? 11th – 12th September
Where? Heaton Park, Manchester
Parklife will finally return to Heaton Park this September. The line-up hasn’t been announced yet, but there will be a mix of genres. And going by previous years that saw Disclosure and Mark Ronson – we know it’s going to be good.
Forbidden Forest
When? 4th September
Where? North Avenue, Grimsthorpe
House and bass lovers will be in their element, with a line-up featuring Defected, Crucast, Soul Heaven, Abode and DnB Allstars.
We Are
When? 11th – 12th September
Where? Central Park, Dagenham
We Are will hold their annual festival on the second weekend of September. The line-up includes CamelPhat, The Martinez Brothers and MK – it’s not one to miss out on.
Sundown
When? 3rd – 5th September
Where? Norfolk Showground, Norwich
This year’s Sundown looks promising, with Franky Wah, Solardo, Sam Divine and many other key names set to play.
Back to Love
When? 7th-8th August
Where? Finsbury Park, London
Sonny Fodera and Gorgon City are hosting the first-ever Back to Love Festival this August. Join the pair for a weekend of house music, cocktails and street food in the sunshine. What sounds better than that?
One Out
When? 25th September
Where? Apps Court Farm, Surrey
We can expect big things from One Out’s debut festival. Hannah Wants, Weiss and Low Steppa are just a few names on line-up. As well as Sam Divine, Danny Howard and many more.
