Beat Herder ’17

Sick of herding cattle? I mean, it’s not what we do, but we assume if it’s what you do, you’ll need a break. Ditch them for beats — we’re sure herding those is less stressful. From 14-16 July, join us at Lancashire’s Ribble Valley for a succession of unbelievable artists.

The Music

We’ve got, in no particular order, the beyond-excellent Sleaford Mods, Trentemoller, and Toots & the Maytals. Milky Chance is making an appearance (Stolen Dance, anyone? Our forever favourite), as well as Faithless, Skream, and Richy Ahmed. And loads more, of course. Here are a few more names to tide you over: Endor, High Contrast, Stereo MC’s, Adam Sherwood ...

So Fancy

If you’re into fancy dress, you’ll have fun on Saturday. This year’s theme is the letter D (get your mind out of the gutter!). Beat Herder suggests dinosaurs, ducks, dice and dominoes. We’re already assembling our getups!

Poster Giveaway

To claim some original, hand-selected festival artwork for yourself, send your postal address to  contact@beatherder.co.uk   with the subject line ‘please can I have some lovely posters please,’ and they’ll send some posters off to you! You also have to set up a camera in your bedroom for two weeks and send the footage as an attachment. Okay, maybe not. Some applicants competed to win two festival tickets by taking those beautiful posters and placing them in a unique position -- the goal was to aim for weirdness or awareness. Like, would tons of people see it, or would it be so random no one had thought of it before? Sadly, these were given out at end of 2016 (when even was that?) but stay woke for next year, so you’ll have a chance to compete!

After that overview, we’re going through the encyclopedia under the letter D. See you there, and get ready to Beat Harder! For more information, visit: http://beatherder.co.uk/ For tickets, click here!
