SHEER MUTINY! 2017
It’s almost May, and you know what that means ... it’s almost time for Portsmouth’s own Mutiny Festival 2017! Set aside your May Bank Holiday for a trip to King George V Fields in Cosham (if you weren’t already) because it’s set to be packed with our favourite local and international artists.
What’s On?
Saturday’s headliner is none other than 50 Cent. You’re still banging Candy Shop, right? We’ll be fighting our way to the front for that one. Maybe he’ll touch our hands when he goes through the crowd! Swoon.
Most other spots are TBA, but get ready for Lethal Bizzle on Saturday’s main stage, Roger Sanchez at the Big Top on Saturday, and Roni Size at the Big Top on Sunday.
Life is Paint
Mutiny is reviving their annual Paint Fest on Sunday. Ready to get sprayed with neon paint from the main stage? I mean, when are you not, right? That’s a typical Thursday afternoon for us over at Licklist Towers ...
Get Glamping
Mutiny is a camping festival, so get your passes online and unfurl your sleeping bags! This festival allows for tent camping only, so leave your trailers, motorhomes and day-spas-on-wheels at home. Maybe that rustling noise in the middle of the night will be 50, trawling the site for true love. I mean, maybe it’ll be your friend who can’t find the zip on the tent. Still, it’s always a possibility!
VIP Action
Everyone is a VIP in their own way. But for those who purchased a VIP ticket, Mutiny can offer a private bar, fast-track area entry, exclusive food venues, and VIP toilets. Fancy!
After the Afterparty
Already heartbroken at the thought of Sunday night, filing off the field, covered in neon paint and left with nothing but a heart full of precious memories? Never fear! Mutiny hosts a series of afterparties during the festival, and at closing. There are three in total: the first, on Saturday — Legends of House Music — features Todd Terry, Rhythm Masters and Envy. The second is for secret prize winners only, and the third is the closing party (sob) headlined by Mistajam and supported by Ku Da Ta and Monkeylove Stunt Team (who we want playing at our wedding). After that, the closing party graduates to Tiger Tiger for festival nostalgia until 5AM.
Have we convinced you? We hope not, so we might have a better chance at snagging 50 and living a glamorous life in the City of Dreams. Or, you know, we’ll head back home and see you all next year!
