GROOVEFEST Malta – Embarking on New Shores

What are you doing 29th April-1st May? If you haven’t booked tickets to GROOVEFEST's latest fun house you’re sure to be spending the weekend feeling sorry for yourselves. Indulge  in deep sounds from the Caribbean (the original hub of this fashionable party) this year it’s embarking on a brand new shore that's a little closer to home...and cheaper! Not to mention the avoiding of jetlag.

The first May bank holiday this year has only one destination in mind, and that’s Malta! Thought the Malta faze had gone a year or two ago? Well with help from the GROOVEFEST organizers, it’s sure to hit 2016 faster than the news of Cheryl and Liam’s secret romance. Located between Sicily and the North African coast, it hosts a unique playground party spot where you’re sure to find an unexpected love.

Jamie Jones and Andrea Olivia recently finalized the line-up, they will join the likes of Doorly, Kerri Chandler, MK, Riva starr and many more modern dance music delights. The daytime play spots will be set in St Pauls bay, the largest resort on the North side of the island consisting of clear blue waters and an old school charm.

When night falls the sets then move onto the Gianpula complex, this is just a short cab ride away.

Groove has partnered with HolidayPlace to provide you with some all inclusive packages, with flights and accommodation included.

If you want to make your own arrangements then tickets for just the festival itself are only £89. Or if you're feeling like making the most out of your trip then a V.I.P  ticket will cost you £149.  Our advice would be to go with a package, they start from £299 and you even get your transfers thrown in. We also recommend looking into the weekend shuttle pass that will make life easier for getting around.

The events will be hosted in new and upcoming chic venues such as café del mar. During the day you'll have plenty of access to luxurious relaxation areas and have time to take dips in the adult only reef pools! To add to all this, there are also boat parties where you can soak up those extra sunrays and get a glimpse of the glistening bays from a far.

Before you head home, it's certainly worth finding the time to snorkel in one of Malta’s brilliant coral reefs, the Maltese cuisine is also worth a lick. The weather reaches 24 celsius in May and the sea temperature is pretty impressive too hitting 66 fahrenheit. With twelve hours of bursting sunshine, it's the perfect excuse for an early summer vacay.

Overal, there really is nothing you can fault about this upcomming summer event. It's hot, it's fresh and it's set in a stunning unspoilt Meditteranean haven. You're sure to stand out from the crowd by heading over, plus...makes great conversation for a date on your return.

Tempted? It’s pretty soon so you better get booking. Visit GROOVEFEST's twitter page for further updates on this brand new music holiday. https://twitter.com/Groovefest
