Mint Festival

Sadly, the festival season has almost come at an end. It has been a memorable one to say the least, surprise acts, people falling from set and famous speeches. But don’t be too disheartened, there’s still a few more. This year’s weekender, Mint Festival is back with its biggest line up yet. On the 19th and 20th of September, the extravaganza has a new venue, the beautiful Wetherby Racecourse in the heart of Leeds. It’s going to be a huge weekend, following the other growing festivals, and will be a dance party up North you don’t want to miss.

Only last night, it was announced on Twitter that Hannah Wants had been added to Sundays line up as a special guest. If that’s what they’re pulling out a few weeks before the festival, can you imagine how insane the actual festival will be? Along with the British beauty, Paradise, Knee Deep In Sound, System and many more are hosting their own tent. Duke Dumont will be mixing ‘I Got U’ with his Grammy nominated ‘Need U 100%’ and fingers crossed Sigma will play ‘Changing’- here’s hoping Paloma will make a guest appearance?!

Seth Troxler, Henrik Schwarz, Luciano, Green Velvet and Eats Everything are aong the names set to play. However, some mega back-to-backs are on Sunday, so make sure you’re fed, watered and have a few drinks ready in your backpack. It’s not your typical generic festival. It celebrates music, most importantly, underground music.

Even though this is the festivals 4th Birthday, this is the first time 3 day camping has been available. This completes any festival experience, what is a festival without camping? There is parking for campers and the campsite is a short walk away from all the arenas. Perfect for those of you who had a heavy night and cannot walk further then 100 metres. There is also a park and ride available for people whom just go for one day. Although you can’t bring your own alcohol into the campsite, there will be a supermarket (in a festival- what a godsend) for you to grab anything that you’ve forgotten or run out of. Yes I’m talking toilet paper. Stock up as soon as you get there because I guarantee it’ll run out.

It’s such a breath of fresh air to see upcoming DJs and the huge Ibiza legends, such as Jamie Jones and Seth Troxler. Mint is becoming a hit and with the early bird tickets sold out, the fans agree. Don’t panic if you don’t have tickets yet and you have a spare weekend in September. There are still tickets available here: http://mintfestival2015.eventg enius.co.uk The deposits start at £25 which is ideal! You can pay the rest later.
