Fusion Festival

The Biebs Hits Birmingham

Don’t let the fact that it’s only the second Fusion Festival put you off. The line up is insane and being sponsored by Vimto (everyone loves a cheeky Vimto- if not, I feel sorry for you), there’ll be plenty of ice cold V to go around. On Friday 28th of August to the Sunday 30th, head up to Birmingham as the one and only Justin Beiber, yep it wasn’t a joke floating round Facebook, he is actually going to Brum, will be performing.

Along with Bieber there are load of acts, which you’re likely to hear on the chart list daily. These include the childhood legends, McBusted, who will surely play your favourite, Air Hostess. There’s no place you’d rather be then watching Clean Bandit and you can shout ‘Labrinth, come in’ when he comes to the stage. English drum and bass band, Rudimental will bring all their top songs from their famous 2013 album, including Feel The Love. Tinie Tempah, Jess Glynne, DJ Fresh and Sigma are also performing over the three days.

No camping is available, if you want to go to the festival for more then one day, you better look for somewhere to stay around the Longbridge area, where Cofton Park is. There are plenty of hotels around and some of you probably just sighed with relief thinking “Bingo, real showers and flushing toilets”.

In the festival, a wide range of food stalls will be available as well as several bars. Don’t forget your ID to prove you’re over 18 and you want an ice-cold beer or two or three while you listen to Becky Hill in the sunshine (I’m not promising sunshine, it is England). If you did forget it, don’t panic. You’ll just have to down pints of Vimto instead.

Tickets start from a general admission per day at £49.99 so take a careful look at each day and select going on your favourite acts. For the three days tickets are £120, saving you a bit of extra cash. VIP tickets per day are £150.50 and the full weekend VIP deal is £395. VIP tickets are serious luxury. You get access to an exclusive ‘Gold Circle’ to watch the acts with a bit more space, luxury toilets, complimentary food (!) and luxury seating in the new super stylish Bamboo VIP bar. You might even spot a celeb or two in there.

Fusion has teamed up with National Express to give you a travel package and reduce your carbon footprint. All the information as well as other directions to the festival are linked here http://thefusionfestival.co.uk /travel-info/

If you fancy listening to Baby, Boyfriend or Beauty and a Beat (so much alliteration going on) by Bieber (so many B’s) come to Birmingham (oh hey another B), grab a Vimto and relax in the sun surrounded by like-minded people who are there for an escape, just like you.
