V Fest – Britain’s Biggest Blowout!

Calling all music lovers! For an epic party weekend full of delirious delectation and debauchery; get down and dirty with V-Fest! Sponsored by Virgin Media (hence the ‘V’), Britain’s biggest festival offers a bill of predominantly commercial acts, crowd favourites and radio-friendly indie upstarts across two beautiful stately parks; Staffordshire& rsqu o;s Weston Park in the north, and Chelmsford’s Highlands Park in the south. The event has been running since 1996 and is set to celebrate its 20th anniversary across the 22nd and the 23rd of August 2015, boasting a lineup worthy of such an occasion; so be sure to get your tickets in early, book your travel, whether that be by car, train, shuttle bus or an official V-Festival coach; and ready yourself for a truly memorable time (or not)! With a main stage that features a host of world-class artists and relative newcomers representing numerous genres; V-Fest 2015 (like so many previously) really does offer something for everybody. Indulge in the workings of world renowned entertainers like Ollie Murs and Calvin Harris; and bands that include the likes of The Script, Stereophonics and Kasabian. Enjoy everything from old favourites Tom Jones and The Proclaimers to new kids on the block Sam Smith and Ella Henderson; from instrumentalists James Bay, Ellie Goulding and Labrinth to world-class DJ’s Annie Mac and Duke Dumont. With bands like The Kooks, The Courteeners and Reverend & the Makers amongst others, the event can be seen as somewhat of an indie paradise; whilst the likes of Chvrches and Clean Bandit will be expected to provide that Electronic charge. For the jazz enthusiasts, artists like Imelda May and Gregory Porter are there to provide that injection of the Blues; and for the R&B fanatics, Ella Eyre and Jess Glynne are the way to go. Alongside the main stage, there are a number of other areas from which to see some fantastic acts; make your way over to the Dance Tent, where the likes of Oliver Heldens and Hannah Wants are headlining whilst being supported by the likes of Philip George, Goldie, DJ Ez and Mistajam; or for those looking for a few laughs, the Glee Club Comedy Tent always hosts the very best in world-class jokers! The acts will perform simultaneously across both venues; so regardless of your location, you will not miss out!

Plus with a generous helping of celebs attending each year, your bound to bump into one of your seceret TV crushes. To cool for wellies Niall?

For the full festival-going experience, ready that tent and take yourself away from the worries of the real world with a weekend camping ticket for the price of £189; or for those looking to get a little less ‘down and dirty’, there is a Campervan and Caravan pitch area available for an extra £99 for a maximum of four people. If you live nearby, want that little bit of extra privacy, or just simply don’t like camping, then perhaps a weekend ticket with no camping for £165 would be more for you; whilst those on a budget should look at the one day ticket, costing just £89, though you’ll need to do your research here in order to catch your favourite acts! Also, for the VIP treatment, upgrade any of the above tickets from £75 and experience perks that include a comfortable indoor and outdoor seating area, exclusive food and drink outlets and a late night bar with some quality DJ’s; not to mention those all-important VIP toilets! Alternatively, the luxury seeker should check out the V style camping complex; a pricey yet extravagant venture (starting at £1,440 for two people), the tranquil little boutique village offers the perfect setting to glam up, wind down and catch some much needed z’s whenever necessary! Enjoy all that comes with the VIP package alongside added extras such as a 24 hour concierge and security team, mobile phone charging points and a private walkway that will take you straight to the main arena!
