If you’re looking for a great night out but don’t want to risk bumping into your younger siblings, fancy change of company or are simply looking for a slightly, how shall we say, more upmarket venue, then we have the perfect list for you! We’ve collaborated the best-rated clubs in the UK- with a strict over-21s policy.
1. Ministry of Sound | Gaunt Street | London
You may have caught our article on this fantastic venue a few weeks back but we think this still deserves its place in the spotlight. It’s still topping the charts in DJ Mags top 100 club list of 2014, ranking in at number 12. Ministry of Sound boasts an impressive sound system, and some of the best house DJs around.
2. Club 1 | Ascot |Berkshire
Drink, eat, dance... everything under one roof! Club 1 hosts great, upcoming DJ's playing the best in dance, garage and upfront R&B. With 8 champagne booths and chandeliers, Club 1 sparkles its way onto our list as premier standing nightclub. You can even gain free entry if you choose to dine at Bar 1; why not enjoy sophisticated drinks inside the lounge bar or outside on the heated terrace?
3. Verve | Hemel | Hempstead
Verve Bar Club & Lounge boasts a hint of old style decor but with a modern twist. It is only open weekends, but when it is, the chequered dance floor is ready to take you back to the 80s. With incredible DJs that plays all the best tunes from the charts, 80’s and 90’s, it’s easy to dance the night away here.
4. Faces Nightclub | Gants Hill | Essex
Faces is the most talked about club outside of the West End, boasting a VIP guest list that’s not to be missed. With 6 bars, 2 rooms of music and VIP tables, the atmosphere simply ooze class.
5. Lola Lo | Deansgate Locks | Manchester
This popular chain Tiki-themed bar is a great place to unwind after work or party well into the weekend. Lola’s is spread out over three levels - lower ground, ground and mezzanine, and across two of the Lock’s arches. They feature three bars, two DJ booths and a really spacious dance floor, not forgetting the fabulously fun cocktails (flaming zombie anyone?), which are half price on weekdays!
6. The Arches | Argyle St | Glasgow
As well as a popular venue for gigs, theatres and even weddings, The Arches is considered a hidden gem in Glasgow. As a club, the guest DJs play the greatest anthems that really get the crowd pumping and create an incredible atmosphere.
