The Many Faces of Essex!
Faces is the most talked about club outside of the West End boasting a VIP guest list that’s not to be missed. You can find Faces on the outskirts of East London in Gants Hill, Essex. Established in 1993, Faces has been showing us how to party in style for over 20 years. In fact, for their 20th anniversary they’re offering a discounted membership, so sign up whilst you can.
That’s right, this is a members only club! You need to be on the list to guarantee entry, but once you are in you’re spoilt for choice with 6 bars, 2 rooms of music and VIP tables where the people and atmosphere simply ooze class. The interior of the club has been given a futuristic feel thanks to the black, silver and white décor, highlighted by the impressive LED lighting.
So how do you get membership so you can party with the stars? Quite simply really, just sign up on the website (ww.facesnightclub.co.uk) or turn up on the door. You can choose your type of membership from Silver, Gold or Black. Memberships are available for over 21s only, except on ‘Scandalous Fridays’, which is open to over 18’s, providing you have your ID! Prices range from £10-£250, with perks such as no entrance fee and no queuing. It’s worth getting yourself on the guest list, as there can be really long queues. But that should come to no surprise being the most exclusive club in the area.
If you really want to get the full experience of the Essex glamorous nightlife, then why not spoil yourself in the VIP. Situated in a cordoned off area next to the main dance floor, the VIP area will keep you in the heart of all the action. There are more seating areas with private tables, but remember to book in advance to make sure you don’t miss out on rubbing shoulders with the stars.
So who can you expect dropping by? Faces is well known for its celebrity appearances. Stars have included Akon, Neyo, Usher and of course our very own Essex boy, Joey Essex! If you want to see and be seen, Sunday nights are known to have a notable celebrity host the night or even perform. Past events have seen stars such as Tara Reid who hosted an ‘American Pie’ night and for those 90's kids, a blast from the past boy band sang their hearts out …anyone remember Boyz2Men?!
You may be thinking that’s quite the mix of personalities, and that’s also the case for the music. There really is something for everyone from funky, soulful and electro house to RnB, and club classics with a bit of old school thrown in for good measure. There are always special guest DJs such as Mikey from Big Brother and Masterstepz from Choice FM.
If that’s not all, you can re-live you’re fantastic night out, or ‘try before you buy’ if you like, with Faces Live where you can download Faces’ exclusive live mixes straight from the dancefloor. It’s available to play on your iPod, iPad, PC or home stereo. That way you can have your own Faces party anywhere you like- well reem.
Drink-wise, Faces have a wide selection of alcohol, from the ever so expensive Magnum bottles of Dom Perignon to Hypnotic. There are also some decent happy hours that are not to be missed. Hint: drinks are cheaper on a Thursday night being ‘Student night’- where vodka mixers are only £2.
Celebrities, memberships and VIP. Don’t be put off by the exclusiveness of this club. Everyone is here simply to enjoy themselves. So if you’re looking for a good night out, this is a great place to kick back or shake a leg or two. It’s the perfect venue to sit back and relax, whilst still being able to party like a rockstar- or maybe with one!
