XOYO: The Shoreditch Celebrity Hangout!

There is obviously a lot of serious competition in London's nightclub scene but XOYO in Shoreditch can certainly offer you party folk an intense night out…

The focus of the venue is primarily set on ‘a consistent music policy headed by global names and newcomers’. But what does that actually mean? Well, XOYO offers a very broad range of live acts to get your dance on to, with upcoming acts including none other than The Ordinary Boys and a previous act including Alex Clare! Say what?! Although as a whole the music scene is relatively generic, their resident DJs do offer the usual chart type music that the nightclub crowd is so usually fond of. But don’t let the mainstream hype of it all distract you from the broad range of live acts on offer, as they can include anything from DJ start-ups to old favourites long forgotten.

The two-room venue is drenched in a street art, offering a trendy (although rather unoriginal) edge to the London nightclub scene. Shoreditch is certainly a trendy area with many young professionals and arty types flocking to the borough. Well, this certainly bodes well for XOYO, as that’s just the crowd they appear to be targeting, with their newcomer headliners and shabby chic décor.

XOYO has also been previously associated with Aquila East who run a number of celebrity events around the country. This gives you the chance to party with the likes of the casts of Made In Chelsea and TOWIE; a real bonus for any reality TV fan. After all, where else do you get the chance to sip champers with Proudlock or Jess Wright?

The drink prices, as with most venues in London are relatively expensive with beer being from £3.90 a bottle and wine from £10.50. The entry prices are less heartbreaking but they vary depending on event. You’ll rarely find the doors of this venue closed considering it is open Monday-Thursday and till 4am on a Friday and Saturday; a pretty good deal for a regular Shoreditch night out.

If you wish to join the edgy crowd that has recently migrated to Shoreditch and party with a variety of celebs, head on down to XOYO. You’ll have a good albeit expensive night if you do.
