Live poetry and spoken word featuring two special guests, and an open mic slam session! There are 8 places on the door, first come, first served. Judged by randomly selected members of the audience, the winner goes through to Hackney regional final.



This month features a rare spoken word set from top young UK rapper Awate who is a writer and performer from Camden. His work has been hailed by a lot of big names in hip hop. Come and see what the hype is about! Also featuring will be Indigo Williams,a poet and spoken word educator who has performed at Tedx Brixton and is the winner of the 2012 New Generation slam. Her work is emotive and thought provoking.
