Rising star Misty Miller headlines the Notting Hill Arts club Tuesday May 6th.



Killer songstress Misty Miller is fast-gaining attention for her raw, emotive intensity. In fact, she’s the kind of take-no-shit heroine this generation needs. Hewn from the same deep passions and musical lineage as PJ Harvey, Patti Smith, Janis Joplin, Siouxsie Sioux and Chrissie Hynde, Misty has impressed fans far and wide, including Radio 1 DJ and Bestival founder Rob Da Bank, who declared, “She has a voice that will slay us all.”



In 2013 Misty released two EPs which she wrote and produced with her band showcasing a visceral combination of 70s rock’n’roll, surf punk and high octane blues. While channeling inspiration from likes of The Velvet Underground, Iggy & The Stooges, Irma Thomas, The Sonics, The Gories and Blondie, Misty also cites the bands she’s met playing in the South London scene as a strong influence on her sound.



Having honed her live set touring with Jake Bugg, Television and The Eels, Misty’s provocative onstage persona has caught the attention of British labels Dr. Marten’s and Burberry who both featured her in recent campaigns.



With a brand new single due for release and many exciting announcements to come, 2014 will be the year Misty Miller’s music paves the way for a new breed of artists with a fearless attitude and a righteous determination.
