About this Event

Join living legend of jazz guitar Howard Alden for a night of music inspired by Armstrong, Basie and Goodman, and of course guitar greats such as Barney Kessel, Charlie Christian, Django Reinhardt and George Van Eps.



Upon moving to New York City in 1982, Alden's skills, both as soloist and accompanist, were quickly recognized and sought-out for appearances and recordings with such artists as Ruby Braff, Warren Vache` and Woody Herman. Since then, Alden has played all over the world with an eye watering cannon of jazz musicians, on this trip to the UK he will also be performing at the Bristol Jazz Festival.



Alden is joined by London guitarist Harry Sankey and his trio.
