VCR: Brixton’s only VJ night, stretches out into 2014 with its first special guest of the year. And we’re happy to announce that stone-cold party rocker WRONGTOM will be stepping up to the Electric Social decks with his unique blend of Ragga, Dancehall, Hip Hop, Soul and much much more.



Wrongtom’s music stems principally from Reggae and branches out to Dancehall. The last few years have seen him hit a rich vein of form on a string of records for two of the best independent labels on the UK scene. He currently resides on the evergreen TRU THOUGHTS label following his excellently-received second solo LP collaboration WRONGTOM MEETS DEEMAS J IN EAST LONDON which featured hit singles JUMP+MOVE+ROCK and SUPERTENG. Before that he teamed up with the UK’s number MC, ROOTS MANUVA for the DUPPY WRITER LP, picked up by NINJA TUNE offshoot BIG DADA. If that wasn’t already enough, Tom’s also working with legendary Reggae label TROJAN RECORDS and LYNVAL GOLDING’s PAMA INTERNATIONAL.



What does such a super dope producer do in his spare time? Run a record label of course! 2013 saw the birth of WRONGTOM’s very own RONGOROCK, debuting with MARK PROFESSOR’s impressive OYSTAH CARD 45 and of course providing the beats!



As well as Tom on the turntables, you’ll be able-assisted by VJs BRXTNFNK and TOM CENTRAL giving you a spectrum-smashing variation of music accompanied by eye-popping visuals on the Electric Social big screen and retro little screens in the venue.



Entry is of course FREE. We kick off at 9pm and run till 2am.
