About this Event
Tokyo Tea Room
Tokyo Tea Room are the psych-pop lovechild of Canterbury natives Daniel Elliott and Ben Marshall. A meeting of melodic bass lines, hypnotic guitar riffs and dreamy synths form a unique sound with a soulful personality. With Daniel on guitar and Ben on bass, the duo are joined by four of their closest friends and fellow musicians. From the calm countryside to the big smoke, drawing inspiration from wherever life takes them, Daniel writes, records and produces with the band behind the walls of his studio Roswell Recordings.
The Last Morrell
Raised in a small town in Yorkshire, The Last Morrell grew up being comforted by the sounds of Seattle grunge and the alternative rock scene. The Beatles and Supertramp records his Father played, along with the Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin CD's his Mother bought showed him the potential strength in being an outsider. The Last Morrell is a testament to this.
The Lost Hours
The Lost Hours is 20-year-old mercurial singer/songwriter Callum James Hamilton. Born and raised in Leeds, Hamilton discovered his Dad's old record player and vinyl collection and got entirely mesmerized by the likes of Joni Mitchell, John Martyn, and Nick Drake.
Jack Cullen
Jack's path into music has been somewhat offbeat. Still in school, he signed his first professional rugby contract. In the last few years of playing the sport injury took its toll and Jack began to write music. Naturally, Jack's passion for music was too strong, and slowly it out-stripped his rugby ambitions. He quickly seemed to make a very suitable impression into the scene when in September 2018 he released his first track 'Learn', solely off his own back. Within a day 'Learn' landed a spot on Spotify's New Music Friday! Jack has since gone on to release piano ballad 'Shine' as well as indie-bop 'I Don't Know Much Better', as well as selling out shows at both London's Notting Hill Arts Club and Camden Assembly.
MICHAELA
Hailing from Hertfordshire and born to Greek-Cypriot parents, the 22-year-old British vocalist and songwriter, MICHAELA, is due to storm the pop world in 2020. MICHAELA emulates the writing styles of Ariana Grande and Charlie Puth; whom she also cites as influences. Writing original songs since she was a child, MICHAELA has spent substantial amounts of time honing her musical craft and now works with some of the biggest songwriters in Europe.
Dear Pariah
Dear Pariah is the moniker for songwriter Charlie Hinchcliff. She describes her latest release Bedroom Demos as "her in the purest form". The digital album is the fourth release from the London based singer, it features first takes of finished songs all recorded in her bedroom.
