Hailed by critics as “genius” and “an enchanting delight.” This award-winning folk musician and singer offers an intriguingly varied solo show of smart new songs and instrumental music. A wide rage of song topics are explored via masterful acoustic folk encompassing humble woodnotes to syrupy synthesized twists. A salutatory reminder that traditional music can be inspirational, comforting even and needn’t be the preserve of the exponents of it’s authenticity. Daniels has designed and built his electrophone machine. Part clockwork, part digital this large music box combines Victorian engineering with digital technology via specially manufactured 20” steel discs with which Luke plays guitar, melodeon and sings. Our traditional past and an experimental future combine so as to harmonise everyday life for all ages.
