Halloween at District. Wild Fruit Samurai kip & more. Free entry
About this Event
To celebrate Halloween, the team at District have put together a ghoulish and great line-up of exciting bands, which you can see for free on the 31st Oct.
Fancy dress strongly encouraged. It's a school night so the bands won't be finishing frightfully late:
Wild Fruit Art Collective:
Performing everywhere from Wrong Festival & Sound City to house parties, clubs full of horse racers and even outside John Lewis' wearing McDonald's dinners for masks, post-punk/grungers Wild Fruit Art Collective have been travelling the UK branding those drawn in with tattoos and other injustices.
The Debut single, "Under The Hooves" was released in February to rapturous praise from LouderThanWar and others, and can be heard here: https://open.spotify.com/artist/7szKhrlzEjnbJ74ttyL76r
Samurai Kip
Jazzy funky poppy greatness with lyrics to behold. Wild fruit favourites.
The Starlight Magic Hour
Manchester's most exciting new band, described as: "Can of Pop meets The Kinks on Ket" - Austin Collings
LONESAW
Liverpools newest NOISE act, perfect for a halloween debut; they have this to say for themselves: Endlessendlesshallways//ribcage//gasmask//crucifixion
We will also have the legendary Patrick Lyons introducing the acts and performing poetry!
Here is a masterpiece he wrote called "Serve and Obey": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qgD12LZhElk&t=128s
See you all at the show
