Westerman:
‘chill, cool, vibes” - Guardian
"stunning single" – The Independent
“a bewitching introduction” – CLASH
“storytelling vocal that soars” – Line of Best Fit
London based singer songwriter Westerman is a 23-year old storyteller - who weaves lyrics that drift between imagined people and real life. Influenced by John Martyn, Nick Drake and Neil Young, Westerman’s sound alludes to the greats, but the wordsmith pushes classic folk into 2016, referencing José González, Eaves and C. Duncan. Westerman will release his debut EP 'Harvard' summer 2016.
Joe Probert:
Joe Probert is one of the UK’s most promising singer/songwriting talents. Born and raised in Bristol, Joe is one of those naturally born talents that is multi-instrumentalist – self taught and single-mindedly motivated to deliver fresh music that people will sing, dance and be moved by.
By the tender age of 14, whilst other kids were playing on their X-Box, Joe was already out on the streets of Bristol and Bath busking – wowing unsuspecting members of the public with his outstanding vocal ability and songwriting skills.
“The street was really my first ever stage, it was really like my very own music testing ground,” Joe admits, “It’s where I’d test out the music I’d written and see which tracks got the best public response. That’s when I realised that I was making music that people really wanted to listen to – they really enjoyed what I played. I even grew a little bucking fan-based where people would arrange to come and see me perform the next time I was on that street corner. That’s when I knew I had to be a musical artist.”
As the first signing to the UK’s pioneering new music incubator, Funnel Music, Joe Probert released his first EP last autumn through www.funnelmusic.com and www.ingrooves.com . Lead track 'Shake This Fate' received good regional and online radio support with a live session on Virgin Radio. The video for another track off the EP, 'I am Not In Love' was premiered by Clash Magazine. Joe is back in the studio next month to record his next EP.
