As the famous proverb goes "all good things must come to an end" ...and on January 25th 2014 The Emporium will close its doors for the last time.



It all started nearly 19 years ago back in February of 1995. From the heart of a small mining town in the Midlands, Passion at The Emporium went against all the odds to grow to become the true heavyweight of the UK club scene that it is today. From these beginnings nobody envisaged the heights that Passion and The Emporium were to climb to. A packed launch night that featured Todd Terry laid the foundations for the famous clubbing institution that we know and love today.



Before long word spread and the reputation of the night grew as the biggest names in dance music all flocked to play there; Judge Jules, Armin van Buuren, Tiësto, Tony de Vit, Ferry Corsten, Tall Paul, Jeremy Healy, Above & Beyond, Paul van Dyk and Guy Ornadel - to name just a few - have hallowed the halls along with practically every other big name in dance music. For two decades Passion stood tall as one of the premier brands in the UK clubbing scene and The Emporium held its place proudly as one of the true super clubs.



The atmosphere generated at these special events has always been the main draw for both the clubbers and the DJs wanting to play. The journey to The Emporium is a special pilgrimage for every clubber, many of whom cross the country for these legendary events. From the moment they leave their home to that feeling of walking in through the entrance of the club, up the ramp and of that first glimpse of the Blue Room and the night that lies ahead - that Goosebumps moment - priceless.



The atmosphere is unique and unrivalled; the energy levels in the room surpass any other club night - and that is down to the most important people in the Passion family, the Dedicated Followers, the clubbers. Passion is a world where you can talk for hours with somebody you have just met, where you can let go of the pressures of the week and enjoy the moment with your closest friends. A place where relationships are made and strengthened. A place where anything can happen.



We all hold this special venue close to our hearts. It means so much to so many people. We all remember seeing our favourite DJs and being part of our favourite events. This night is a tribute to the venue and its people. This is your invite to the greatest event and celebration of clubbing we have ever seen at The Emporium...



This event will be about the most important things that have made Passion so popular over the last 19 years. The Club.. and YOU! And music provided by your residents..
