Oktoba

(Alt-Folk)

Oktoba is the project of alt folk, singer songwriter Chris Athorne. Honest story telling with an emotive deliverance leaves live audiences captivated with his tales of love and life. Oktoba has performed at Latitude on The Lake Stage stage for BBC Introducing, The Secret Garden Party, The Great Escape, Together The People and LeeFest festivals. Whilst also touring around the UK and the United States, where he played shows at The Rockwood Music Hall in New York and performed for Sofar Sounds in Chicago.

James D.

(Soul)

In 2010 he won an independent artist competition for the website Tunited, where his music was judged by Midge Ure from the famous 80's pop band Ultravox. In 2010, as lead singer he founded his own live band ' The Funkateers' who accompany him at gigs/performances. After they disbanded in 2011, James performed with one of the members of the band at the Ritzy in Brixton in December.



In 2012 he united with the Italian DJ and producer Sallok, and founded the British electronic/soul duo Sallok & James. The duo begun to tour in 2014 with performances in London and at Hertfordshire Pride festival to coincide with the release of their EP ‘Liberta’. Sallok & James’ debut single ‘We Must Be Free’ was released by the American Dance label No Ego Records in 2013 with an official video shot.
