Here comes the sun and we’re delighted to be back at Constellations for the second OpenAir Series – where we’ll welcome three exceptional artists to the family on their debut performances in Liverpool.
Last Summer was special. So we’re going to re-capture and develop some of the sights, sounds and senses that we all experienced last time around with an exciting trio of parties that will last long in the memory. And first up…
Daytime: Constellations (2pm to 11pm)
Nighttime: The Observatory (10pm to 4am)
DeWalta
As a long-time Berliner, DeWalta has developed a vibrant and exuberant sound that’s a joy to witness. For a relatively young musician, he’s certainly accomplished a lot – proficient solo and duo live artist, prolific in the studio, curator of Meander, skilled on the Saxophone and a very good DJ; he’s got a deep understanding for music and was long overdue his first Liverpool booking.
Cristi Cons
Possibly known as one of the more prominent Romanian exports and for being joint label owner of the fantastic imprint, Amphia – Cristi is another artist that’s developed a great live in partnership with good friend Vlad Caia and is another person long overdue his Liverpool debut. Deep, melodic, and considered music is usually the state of play; but having collaborated with DeWalta in recent times, they’ll team up for what’s sure to be an eye opening b2b at Constellations.
John Dimas
Someone that’s worthy of his own headline slot, John Dimas is a fantastic DJ and producer that has been making waves in the music industry in recent years – known for a grooving house sound that’s perfect for closing up the OpenAir segment on Greenland Street. After seeing John lay it down at DC10 last year for one of our best memories of the club, we’re happy to invite him to Liverpool for the third debut of this date. Expect nothing but good vibes to set us up for a move indoors on the day.
Residents and Friends
First and foremost, the brilliant Jack Wickham returns for another date to mark the beginning of more regular performances with the gang. This guy is going places - and having garnered widespread support for deep, dancefloor-ready productions, Jack has an even more exciting touring schedule under his belt since joining the renowned artist management agency and party brand Next Wave. A sign of great things to come.
Our maverick magician Nerram finds his way onto the lineup as ever; but will play an altogether different daytime, grooving warmup off the back of widely selling out his first vinyl-only, debut EP online - GS001 - Galaktic Shelf Records. Also returning is good friend and infamous party-starter Flemo to round off the agenda for this date and to set the tone on the day from the off.
Matt Lee is on hand to provide an education in visual arts and to light the place up during the night across all three dates in summer.
We cannot wait to get going here and we’re majorly excited to see you all back under the big blue.
