Cafe con Leche Band aka La Esencia is an acclaimed, versatile Latin Music Band perfect for dancing events/festivals at Central and Northern UK’s principal venues. Based in Manchester this is a pure Latin music band, playing all Latin rhythms and led by two Cuban musicians. In 2015 the band opened Buenavista Social Club’s concert at the Liverpool Philharmonic.

Directed by Ivan Pavon La Esencia aka Café con Leche is a well known and very popular Salsa band based in Manchester at Revolucion de Cuba but also in great demand at weekend events throughout the North, Northwest and Midlands.

Ivan played in the major orchestras, hotels and jazz clubs in Havana, playing classical music, jazz and salsa, merengue, bachata etc. He has played with many of the best musicians in Cuba from Van Van to Buenavista Social Club. He was also director of music for several bands in Havana and played at all the famous venues-- La Zorra y el Cuervo, Hotel Nacional, Jazz Café. He frequently played 4 gigs a day in Havana. Here in the UK he has played with members of the Halle orchestra and at many and various jazz clubs and festivals.



Live band starts at 9.45pm playing 2 sets through the night.
